Stella, une jeune adolescente de 14 ans, accompagne son cousin Jackie, une petit garçon de 5 ans, dans les rues de leur village pour chercher des bonbons pour la fête de Halloween.  Mais tout ne va pas se passer comme prévu... Stella va très vite perdre la trace du petit Jackie et, guidée par sa recherche, va se retrouver dans une atmosphère morbide, où elle verra ses proches et voisins sous l'emprise d'un démon selon l'un des sept péchés capitaux commis. Poursuivie par un gigantesque colosse aux  multiples bouche et à l'odeur putride, traînant derrière lui le son funeste de trompettes, notre jeune adolescente va très vite comprendre que son petit cousin n'est plus celui qu'elle connait et que le Mal est derrière toute cette histoire.
