Not easily broken

Deani Scott believes she is broken. She has been in an abusive relationship for 8 years, but tonight is the night she leaves. With the help of Melinda Rodriguez, a 75 year old Mexican woman she met online, Deani leaves her old life behind and becomes Naomi Jones. Ms. Rodriguez promises Deani a roof over her head, food in her belly, a job, protection, and motherly love, what she forgot to mention was that her neighborhood was 100% Hispanic and not very welcoming to blacks. She also don't mention that Deani would be living with her gang affiliated grandson who also was harboring a deep hatred for black people.
