The Morton family is shrouded in mystery, one of them being why the captivatingly beautiful daughter, beloved by everybody, won't befriend any living creature except her cat. Will she ever know someone who understands her, or does she first need to find out who she really is?
-
Nicole Morton was born in the bathroom of her parents' old townhouse in central London on Christmas eve of 1983. It was the end of an unusually ordinary year, but miss Morton, as would soon become apparent, was anything but an ordinary little girl. As the years went by, her parents grew increasingly worried as to why Nicole wasn't making any friends. In fact, by the age of six, she had yet to have introduced herself to a single other person, no child nor adult, ever since she learned to speak. Something even more strange, was that every child and adult she ever happened upon, wanted nothing more than to make little Nicole's acquaintance. There was something in her big, black eyes that captivated every living creature that had the pleasure of meeting her calm and careless stare. When she opened her mouth and spoke in that soft voice, every word bewitched the listener. Her movements were light and as slow, as if she had all the time in the world.
