I never imagined I'd ever fall for the leather loving bad boy. It was always so cliche. I meant don't get me wrong every girl has that fantasy that a bad boy will be good just for her but I never imagined it was real. Let alone that I would fall for the "brooding bastard that is cassian james". However lies are what break us and trust is what relationships are built on so if there isn't honesty? If there isn't trust? Is it worth it? Was it worth it? Knowing him made me question everything loving him made the uncertainty feel like home. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes along with darkness. And though he was darkness he was beautiful.

"Gods... Someone really ought to put you in your place." Cassian Blackwood has spent his entire life fighting his way through poverty, doing whatever it takes to keep his family alive in a city that couldn't care less if they lived or died. So when he was offered an unusually well-paid position as the personal servant to the crown prince, his entire world changed. The prince, Thalric Morrow, is everything Cassian despises: cold, entitled, and unbearably arrogant. A monster born into power who treats everyone with disdain. Especially his new servant, who he looked down upon from the very beginning. Cassian, however, is not afraid to stand his ground and give the prince a sharp tongue. They absolutely despise each other from the start, but hatred has a way of turning into obsession, and obsession into something far more treacherous. As Cassian is pulled deeper into the royal court's web, he realizes there's more to Thalric than just blood and cruelty. But in a kingdom built on centuries of lies and violence, getting close to the crown is a dangerous game. And falling for the crown prince might be the most dangerous game of all. . . . ⚠️ CONTENT WARNING ⚠️ graphic language, sexual content, extreme violence, blood, death & murder, heavy mental themes such as depression and abuse, sexual identity struggles, homophobia ⠀ . . .
