The sudden crash coming from the kitchen in my tiny apartment caused me to jolt from my bed. My hand groggily reached over and grabbed the loaded hand gun and I lifted still shaken; I got from my bed and wobbled from my bed. The oak floorboards creaked softly beneath the intruders feet, startling me more. There wasn't much to my puny apartment , so why was someone breaking in? I shuffled over to my door and slowly opened it- there was a woman; lanky, with short cut wavy brown hair. I couldn't quite see her face; I just hoped she didn't want to kill me. I heard a soft hum coming from the women, it reminded me of a song that I can't seem to get out of my head.

Something didn't feel right. I looked around my room slowly; cautiously; taking everything in and trying not to feel too nervous. The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?"
