Viviann thought it was ridiculous, since the family had been integrated with humans long enough to resist their thirst for blood. And besides, they couldn't all be that bad, right? But she nodded nonetheless.

In hindsight, it was hard to avoid the Laverne family when her college roommate ended up being Nova Laverne, a confident daredevil with a knack for bending rules and getting in trouble. And, of course, she was a vampire along with the rest of her family.
