In the dangerous slums of Metzerberg, a revolution is festering.
Ever since the war, the Dominion has occupied the city, ruling over it with an iron fist. They have forced most of the non-human races, and those humans too poor to live in the upper city, down into the "Ghouls' Quarter," along the riverbanks.
It is in this crime infested cesspit that Rezik makes his living as a thief. His talent, along with his personal golem, give him much notoriety in Metzerberg's underworld.
When Rezik's illicit activities force him to cross paths with a young noblewoman, he soon finds himself caught up in a daring resistance movement. Stuck between the forces of the Dominion, the deadly resistance leaders, and the gangs of the Ghouls' Quarter, Rezik's only hope is to find the Secret's Broker: a shadowy figure who trades in intrigue and who may have information that will change Rezik's world forever.

He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance.
