The last thing Lapis Lazuli remembers was watching everyone she knew slowly die. All she knew was the world had ended and civilization faded away because of a horrible flesh eating disease. It started by only affecting deer, giving them traits of zombies. Except the eating brains part. Then it spread to humans. Lapis was lucky enough to survive. She thinks she's alone on the earth now. But little does she know... she's going to find the only other human on the planet.
Note: CWD, or the disease in this book, is an actual thing. Currently it does ONLY affect deer in the real world. But I thought it'd be fun to use it as a plot for an apocalypse type story.

I don't exactly know if anyone has had this idea before.. but here's my music oneshots where I turn songs into stories! All of these will revolve around Lapis and/or Peridot! A lot of these chapters will have angst, smut, fluff, rape, alcohol, self harm, or death. However, I will be putting trigger warnings for all the people who might be squeamish so don't you worry! Peridot Diamond: A short, pale blonde scientist who is socially awkward. All she cares about is science, facts, and logics. She's never really had a friend and she's never felt attracted to anyone, until she meets Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli: A tall, tan bluenette life guard who's all over the place. She's carefree, wild, and she's pretty odd. No one knows it, but she struggles with depression. ---- Peridot Diamond is a dorky scientist from Beach City High. Her life revolves around school, and of course science. She's fine being alone, and she has never felt attached to anyone. This all changes when she meets Lapis Lazuli. At first the two hate eachother, they want nothing to do with one another. They absolutely loathe eachother. But that slowly starts to change as Peridot and Lapis begin learn more about one another. Peridot isn't really a narcissist, and Lapis isn't really as strange as she seems. Peridot soon finds herself developing feelings for Lapis, feelings she's never felt before. Confused and afraid, Peridot is trying her best to figure this out. Yet she can't help but wonder... Does Lapis feel the same? She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. This disease slowly killed the gem off if they were to ever fall in love, since love was deemed as a distraction. Unless it was mutual, they would certainly shatter over time. The end of mankind has finally come, in the least spectacular way.
