There was a sudden thundering crash, that rung through the entire house. Startled, I jumped slightly, and placed my book down on the table. Curious as to what the noise may be, I gently stepped down the stairs, and into the kitchen, the source of the crash...

I heard a click, and the next thing I knew, I was staring right into the icy grey eyes of the most dangerous killer in the country, as he pressed a gun against my temple... Looks like I haven't watched enough horror movies to know that you don't approach suspicious sounds...

******

In a world where crime is legal, here lives two completely different people. 17 year old Anne Carol lives in wealth and fame, but she stumbles down from her high post when she's almost killed by Hunter Davis, the most dangerous murderer in the country. He kidnaps her for ransom, but also protects her because of it. He finds her extremely annoying, but they eventually build a friendship that brews into something bigger...
