Natalia Romanova was only 4 years old when she was taken. Both her and her parents worst nightmares becoming reality. Natalia's being stolen from those she loved and struggling to remember even the greatest details. Her parents greatest fear was leaving their little girl in a world of torture and death. The Red Room trains their best agents at a young age to be void of any emotion and that love is for children. Once the Winter Soldier steps into her dark life all of the careful programming the Room put it her head goes to waste. She makes him feel again and he makes her feel wanted. Rather than being a mere tool to be used they feel... human.


Marvel owns a lot of the stuff in this book. I only own  different parts/changes I made to the storyline along with a few minor characters.All Rights Reserved

Zola Barnes, daughter of Natasha Romanoff, and the adoptive daughter of Clint Barton is raised in the red room for the first few years of her life. She grew up to the feeling of the Winter Soldier's metal fist punishing her for every mistake she made. She was thirteen-year-old Natalia's liability in the red room, but she was Clint Barton's world once he took the two of them in instead of pursuing his mission to kill them. Their lives change as they work for SHIELD alongside Clint, run from their old captors with his help, and hide in hotels and safe houses. Though Zola can hardly speak English or understand what is happening to her, she builds relationships with her mother, whom she used to be denied of seeing. She gets closer to Clint, who she genuinely believed was her father. She didn't know any better. Thankfully, she was happy to lose the one relationship she never asked for. She'd longed for a father figure, but the relationships she had with everyone in the Red Room, especially the Winter soldier, were not that. As unfortunate as it was for Bucky, who wanted nothing more than to be a part of his daughter's life, he was forced to watch her grow up in someone else's care from a distance. They wiped him so often, he would hardly remember her, anyway. Still, in the small moments where he could remember, he hoped that one day he would win her trust back as Bucky, not the Winter Soldier that she knew. BOOK ONE IN ZOLA BARNES SERIES.

The Red Room. Black Widows. Little Girls. Many girls have walked through come and gone through these walls. 1 in 20 survive. Maybe. They went from psycologically controling these girls, to full on mind controlling them. Training them to be assassians for one person to be in 'control' of the world. They take their childhoods from them, they take their emotions, and most importantly they take their free will. Natasha Romanoff got out. She became an Avenger. She became more then the assassian they made her. Never looking back. At least not after she thought she destroyed the Red Room. But she didn't really destroy it. And when she left, she left her two "sisters" behind. "Twins". When they were younger, they were all part of a "family". Undercover, as the two older agents with them were there to steal something. The mission lasted 3 years. Natasha knew it was fake. But the 6 year old Yelena Belova and Olesya Aleksandrovna, they didn't know. So they got thrown into the Red Room. Not a clue in the world as to what was going on. "Mother" probably dead from a gunshot wound. "Father" watching as they were taken away. "Older Sister" trying to save them, but failing in the end. So they spent the next 21 years, mind controlled. Forced to be assassians. No freewill. That is, until an older widow, cracks the serum. Finds a way to get the girls their minds back.
