"A dragon and its rider. They are not mere companions but a single entity, united in spirit and purpose until their last breath." - Flight Master Soren Beck. Falamor was divided into two regions, The North and The South. In the northern reaches lies Ashe Academy, a prestigious battle academy dedicated to training elite Dragon Riders for the approaching war against the Southern kingdom, which sought to bring the North to its knees. Jaeda was a 19-year-old orphan conscripted into Ashe Academy. Could she survive to become a Dragon Rider? Carlyle Rayne was a privileged Prince of the North who was expected to attend Ashe Academy and gain the same prestige as his family. Surviving was one thing; mastering combat and Dragonology was another, especially under the watch of the Wing Commander, who happened to be Prince Carlyle Rayne. Would Jaeda remain Flightless or soar higher than she could ever imagine? "Dragons are a proud and ancient species. They have ruled the sky long before humanity, were once the rulers of this realm." - Hana Kol, Master Dragonologist of Ashe Academy. *** Before you ask, NO - FOUTH WING didn't inspire me; it was How to Train Your Dragon and Game of Thrones. Hence, the tags to get my story noticed. I'm sorry for the confusion. This is NOT fan fiction of either of those fandoms. It's my story. It's unedited, a work in progress, a passion project. I would love feedback! Both in Jaeda's POV and Carlyle's POV. Content warning: Foul/ offensive language, fighting, blood, animal cruelty, dismemberment, burning and gore, sexual assault, variety of sexual content: sunshine/grumpy, GENTLE dominance, light kink, power dynamics, angst, hurt-comfort, fluff, yearning, rivalry to lovers, forbidden romance, and risk of genuinely falling in love.

"No one has ever really... had any faith in me before." "What do you mean? I always have." "That's because your fatal flaw is loyalty." "Hey! I'm not just loyal to anyone! Only those that deserve it. And that includes you." Percy Jackson x Reader, book 1. This is not actually complete, Wattpad is just being a bitch. IT ALSO VERY MUCH DOES NOT BELONG TO ME! IT IS A FANFICTION. PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THIS, IT IS EXPLICITLY LABELLED AS FANFICTION. /// Welcome, readers, to a book with an accurately represented disabled Y/N! And her disability isn't just a plot convenience! What a novelty! All jokes aside, I am a disabled person, and one thing that has always annoyed me, is the lack of disabled representation in media. And when it is represented, it's often more there as a plot convenience than just for the sake of you know- just being disabled. So I decided to take things into my own hands. Yes, Y/N's disability is a part of the plot, but it is not a plot convenience. It's not thrown in there for the sake of added tension or drama. She just happens to be disabled. It will obviously be involved in some ways, as Y/N's disability (a form of cerebral palsy) does impact her life. But it won't be something that the plot hinges on- does that make sense? The form of cerebral palsy Y/N has is the same one I personally have. So anything written here is written from personal experience. So it will, inevitably, not be accurate to every person with the same form of cerebral palsy. along with that, if you aren't disabled, and want to read this anyway, and have any questions, feel free to ask me! I really don't mind answering anything you're curious about. I currently have three books in the works in this series. Each Y/N has the same disability as me, but I would really like to branch out! So if anyone who has any other disabilities or even another form of CP would like to help out, help me write an accurate character, that would be great!

In a small village, half hidden along a mountainside, Kieren was slinking between shadows. Footsteps sure even with so little moonlight. The softest brush of bare skin against knobbled and far-reaching trees. Not even a whisper of sound from stepping on the coarse dirt beneath his feet. In this world, Drakes were the epitome of power amongst the species. Only making up 10% of the population, humans making up the other 90%. Drakes could be found in the highest positions of power in communities or in positions to protect others (such as guards, watchmen, knights, patrolman). No one questioned this, dragons taking care of their own. A private species with traditions and rules that only dragons were privy to. Making sure none over-reached so that there would always be peace and harmony amongst the dragon territories and between humans. A symbiosis that all worked hard to maintain. Humans were born with vibrant and colorful hair throughout the world. The more rare the color, the more blessings, respect, luck and riches came to them. Fiery red, leafy green, aqua blue. Eyes that matched their brightest feature. Dressing in the same colors or even brighter shades to demonstrate their extravagance, their standing in society. They normally worked side by side with the higher ranking dragons, helping to keep harmony. All Kieren knew was that he would have to remain cloaked, face obscured at all times. The villagers said he was a defect, so they made him their servant. His skin too pale. Form too slight. Eyes not right. An ugly thing where he should be thankful they did not kill him right away. To be grateful for their pity and staying their hand. The worst, they would tell him, was about the coloring of his features; his hair and eyes. It was a color that had never been seen before amongst humans or dragons. *Please read tags! Don't like, don't read, don't leave unhelpful nasty comments.
