Color Me Black and White

"I've never had a real reason to favor a color before. Black, white, and grays have always been my classic reality, but the color red is beginning to come alive for me. A ripple of frisson trickles through me at the thought, leaving me stunned in numb silence in the middle of the living room.
Ah, well, would you look at me? Gaining an interest in colors I will never see. Don't get me wrong, I will always find peace in the depth of true black or the contrast brilliant white brings, and since most of my world is gray and muddled, why hope to think it could be otherwise? As I crash into the large beanbag chair, a compelling thought pesters my insides. Have I allowed those shades to limit my view of life, in more ways than one?"

Do you like sunsets, rainbows, or neon lights? Well, my apologies, but there won't be any fancy theatrical descriptions of color in this novel. Instead, it's just a college guy named Lukas. Finding his way through a black and white life. Does it sound melodramatic? Maybe. But this book is anything but dull as you witness the colors slowly seep into his world in a whirl of red, yellow, and blue, dashed with a hint of never-being-the-same.
