Blinded

"Emily, we've been outcasts since fucking kindergarten, this is our last year and I refuse to graduate as the biggest nerd at school." She scrunches her nose up in disgust just by the thought of it.

I laugh humorlessly, "And you think changing your entire appearance will prevent that from happening? C'mon I chose to be your best friend for who you are. I don't want you to change." I nibbled at my bottom lip, sadly slumping my shoulders.

Emily Lawson and Ashley Rosevelt have been best friends since kindergarten, and they've been outcasts for as long as they can remember.

As the summer before senior year comes to an end, Ashley decided that she was sick of it, and gives herself the glow up of the century. Although, Emily isn't too fond of her actions, she lets her best friend do as she pleases, ignoring the weird feeling in the pit of her stomach.

When boy after boy start to show interest in Ashley, she begins to slowly neglect Emily. Ashley has fallen so deep into the eyes of one of the football players, Miles Paterson, that she forgot about her own best friend.

Miles always seemed a bit sketchy to Emily. She soon finds out that he was only using Ashley, but Ashley was too blinded to listen to Emily's warnings.
