Moya Dep has everything she could ever desire- a magnificent palace, servants, and a claim to the throne. Her life is spottles. Any girl in Vietnam would do almost anything to be in her state of life.
But one day, rebels storm the palace. Moya's life is shattered, as she and her family are forced to flee Vietnam. Forced to leave everything Moya's ever known.
Even though Moya would never admit it, she is the reason the rebels came. She is the reason that the palace, her home, went up in flames. Her own ignorance has lead her down a path of death and destruction. 
And now, she will pay for what she has done.
