World Premiere of The Cabin House
Los Angeles - This Horror film The Cabin House will premiere Thursday, October 31st in select theaters throughout the US. The Cabin House film was funded a team of local Hollywood film investor raising close to 13 million for the production. It was brought to life by 10 accomplished investors already working in the commercial and film industry. Starring Seattle local actors Jeremy Rudd and Nathan Rudd.
"Our intention was to make a Hollywood-style classic horror film, it was a very "anything goes" mentality" says writer and director Gary Dauberman. To pull it off, Dauberman got brought together a production team and talent actors to bring his vision together. "Being apart of such an amazing and classic styled Hollywood film was a dream come true" says actor Jeremy Rudd.
The story revolves around a cabin in a remote part of town. The cabin is known for mystery and horror but that doesn't stop a group of college teens from visiting for spring break.
Taking ques from Halloween and Friday the 13th pays homage to the films the investors loved as a kids. "Those movies didn't use special effects as a replacement for story, they used effects to tap in an emotional truth".
To achieve a unique look to the film, the effects team employed a combination of old school special effects and CG, drawing from their broad range of experience on films like Friday the 13th (1989), IT (1990) and Halloween (2007).
"I had such a good time filming this and I'm really proud to be working with such an amazing production team" says actor Nathan Rudd.
