Lucy has one more year of high school. She was looking forward to it. She's a social one. She enjoys going to dances and cheering at football games. She's never had the burden of not knowing anyone. Everyone loved her. Automatically. She didn't even have to try.
When her father came home from a business trip one afternoon, he announced at dinner that he was leaving his wife. That he had been done with this marriage for years and that it was over.
Another thing he said was that he wanted Lucy to come with him. After much, she ended up on a plane sitting next to her divorced father, on her way to something she's never had to deal with before. Hydrake High.
