Arielle Quinteros smelt like petrichor at least that's what she smelt like to Alex Alvarez . She always smelt like rain, even her soft voice sounded like rain to him, the calming sound able to calm him in a matter of seconds.Every second spent with her reminded him of the rain, one moment it could soft and gentle then turn raging and dangerous the next or a soft drizzle of rain never picking up or stopping. The brown in her eyes reminded him of the tree trunks and the brown in her hair was like a beautifully crafted sculpture. Alex Alvarez realized he fell in love with his best friend.

"What do I smell like?" She rose then and went very close to him, so close that he could feel her breath on his chest, he could see the tiny beads of sweat on her from her workout, she looked up at him, her eyes illuminated by the sun, and showed specks of green mingled with brown, he noticed as she took a deep breath. "You smell like a forest after the rain, woody like amber dry cedar, a bit spicy like cinnamon and ginger, but also comforting and refreshing like petrichor and citrus, it's a beautiful scent." There was something erotic about having her here, so close, having her tell him how good his scent was, have her breathe him in, and look at him the way that she was at that moment. Something in him stirred, and almost of its own accord, his hand lifted to cup her face, as his palm touched the skin of her cheek, her breath caught, and her lips parted. Amari could not believe all she was feeling; she had been kissed before, but nothing could prepare her for the all-consuming heat that built up in her blood as Damien kissed her. She wanted to get lost in it, she was searching for something in it, and she was afraid of what she would find. That fear reminded her of who she was kissing and the circumstances they found themselves in, so she pushed herself from him, panting and wanting but unwilling to carry on.
