The story is set in 1850s when India was part of the British Empire. In north India, near Lucknow, a place called Dariyaganj was ruled by its English Zamindar (Landlord). In the then high society, Dariyaganj was a place to reckon with. Situated on the foothills of the great Himalayas, an invite from its master Jacques Wallace and his grandmother was a matter of honour. The owners took pride in their lineage and showcased their finest hospitality to the whose who of the English Raj. Everything was perfect except Jacques was yet to be married to take forward his lineage and the land was at the brink of a political unrest which later will go down in the history as India's first war of Independence or the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. In midst of all this how will Jacques survive and protect his Dariyaganj which he loved 'jaan se bhi jaida' or more than his life and his secret.
