Fire is hot. Water is cold. Sword can be either. The dragon has fire. The ocean has water. But man has sword. And sword, in the hands of fire's offspring, will triumph over both.



So basically, dragons exist. Deny it all you want. They're around. Burning stuff. Eating people. Doing dragon stuff. 

There are the slayers. Killing dragons. Being badass. Running with scissors. Making sure humans don't know about the dragons. Hey, it's working so far. 

Unfortunately, it may not work much longer. 

Ash is just an average guy. He's tired, drives a smart-car, and can cut the spine of a giant winged lizard in half with a sword. Oh, and he's fireproof. Pretty useful when your job is to kill dragons.

The last thing he wants on his plate is a quest. 

Yet evidently these things qualify him to be sent on a life or death mission to save thousands of lives from a horde of dragons. The scurvy crew he gets to work with? Consists of his best friend, two of his worst enemies, a petrified nerd, and a navy SEAL wannabe. Plus a regular girl who's got about as much fighting experience as mall cop. 

Those thousands of lives? They're screwed.

The Sludge Villain is capture without any interference and instead Izuku finds himself under the tutelage of the #9 Pro Hero, Ryukyu, the Dragoon Hero. But things are not as they appear as she shows a bit too much interest in him, seems to have a long, complex history with Hiashi, and is quite knowledgeable in-regards to Izuku's awakening draconic abilities for some reason. But slowly but surely, the boy's mindset begins to shift from "What would All Might do in this situation?" to "What would a Dragon do in this situation?".
