Fire is hot. Water is cold. Sword can be either. The dragon has fire. The ocean has water. But man has sword. And sword, in the hands of fire's offspring, will triumph over both.



So basically, dragons exist. Deny it all you want. They're around. Burning stuff. Eating people. Doing dragon stuff. 

There are the slayers. Killing dragons. Being badass. Running with scissors. Making sure humans don't know about the dragons. Hey, it's working so far. 

Unfortunately, it may not work much longer. 

Ash is just an average guy. He's tired, drives a smart-car, and can cut the spine of a giant winged lizard in half with a sword. Oh, and he's fireproof. Pretty useful when your job is to kill dragons.

The last thing he wants on his plate is a quest. 

Yet evidently these things qualify him to be sent on a life or death mission to save thousands of lives from a horde of dragons. The scurvy crew he gets to work with? Consists of his best friend, two of his worst enemies, a petrified nerd, and a navy SEAL wannabe. Plus a regular girl who's got about as much fighting experience as mall cop. 

Those thousands of lives? They're screwed.

When he goes missing after the rescue they come to his aid and have him removed from Magma not knowing that it threatens his life. After a harsh truth is revealed he is returned to her and once bound he is able to see her true purpose. Magma becomes more than just his mate and becomes the keeper of the past to give all dragons hope that someone is out there for them. Igneous gives her all the things she wanted in life while she gives him what he didn't know he was missing. They are the first dragon and human couple inspiring more to come.

Like how maybe Gaston might have had a kid who had to grow up with only one parent cause the Beast killed Gaston. Or maybe how Dr. Facilier might have had a daughter, but since he was locked in the shadow realm he never got to have that valuable father-daughter relationship with her. What if Disney is hiding something from us. The story of these kids who had to grow up without a parent or with the burden of being teased because of their lineage. Well, Disney, you may be good at making giant Marvel timelines and making us cry at the end of EVERY Disney Pixar movie. But I'm good at revealing your secrets. The Sludge Villain is capture without any interference from Izuku and instead the young man finds himself under the tutelage of the #9 Pro Hero, Ryukyu the Dragoon Hero. But things are not what they appear to be as she shows a little too much interest in him and knows far more about him and his family than she is letting on. But that could turn out to be the least of Izuku's worries as newfound abilities start to awaken within him. Slowly but surely, Izuku's mindset then begins to shift from "What would a Pro Hero do in this situation?" to "What would a dragon do in this situation?" and the outcome will not always be the morally upright one. For hundreds, if not thousands, of years of human history, dragons have been nothing more than mascots and symbols of power but soon the world will witness what true might is as Izuku and Ryukyu show everyone exactly why dragons are the only true apex predator species in all of existence. Rated for Violence/Language. NOTICE: This story is a real slow build, a real slow burn, has a large amount of worldbuilding and a ~lot~ of Pre U.A. stuff too. Also know that this is somewhat of a crossover with Dungeon and Dragons and Pathfinder, so fantasy elements will come along later in the story. OP!Izuku who has to work to get there first.
