Amara Ray was vaguely aware of gasping sounds and someone pushing down really hard on her chest. So it was only when she felt the hard ground beneath her, she realized that life had kick assed again.
She was not dead. She was very much alive. But something was different. The fall had apparently left a surprise. She now possessed a superpower that freaked her out at first.
