A massive orbital ring over the Tropic of Cancer meant to propel humanity into the stars has become the seat of power for a new kind of world organization. After a revolutionary breakthrough in science, the development of psychic powers in humans, the three scientists responsible for the discovery made a simple declaration to the world. All people everywhere have the right to life, lustice, and truth. Two centuries later, the psionic Avatars of these rights empower their followers to defend them against those that seek the domination by force of the past. Katya Paslenovna, and the psionic warriors like her, have kept the world in relative peace through the superiority of their technology and abilities. When that superiority is challenged, she must now confront the serious question of whether the people of the Trinity Ring are any more righteous than those who oppose them or if they have merely escalated the ancient doctrine of 'might makes right' into a new era.
