The Others, a group of government and military members, mingled with quite a few civilians, has been on the rise for the past few years. They're known for going around the country, committing large amounts of murders and other unforgivable crimes.
When they ally with the U.S. Air force and make bombs rain down on most of the United States of America, killing millions, it's obviously not a good thing.
Hannah Clarke, a survivor of the bombs, is part of one of the many small groups who call themselves Runners traveling around, avoiding the Raiders. Raiders, as the Runners know them, are the people the Others use to do their dirty work: finishing off anyone who won't cooperate with the new laws that are being put into place. Hannah is just trying to survive just like everyone else, as she evades the law alongside the other people that she has grown close to over the short amount of time in which they have been thrown together after losing their loved ones.

Cassidy lives like most other under 21s - she follows the law. She knows that if she doesn't, she risks being taken away. Rebellious behaviour cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, especially with her parents watching her every move. The rules have been in place for a long time - the Democrats have beaten the Republicans in the New Elections for the past 60 years, with their names being the only recognisable aspects of their parties when comparing to the past. Anyone that chooses not to follow the rules can drop out and become what's known as an Outcast, but then you risk being imprisoned. While America seems to be running perfectly under these laws, a rebellion is stirring among the professionals. With secrets and lies in government and families alike to change the future of America forever, Cassidy finds herself caught up in the middle of the all out war that is about to break out. What she thought she knew about her world is about to change forever, bringing everyone she knows down with her. DISCLAIMER 2016/2017: This book is a few years old at this point, and due to the political uproar in American in 2016 I feel the need to make this abundantly clear. Outcasts takes place in a dystopian world in an undetermined year in the future, and the political parties depicted in this story - the Republicans and the Democrats - are in no way, shape or form a commentary on their real-life counterparts. I had very little knowledge of American politics when I wrote this story, and if I could go back and change their names I would. Throughout the story you will read of absurd flaws in both party agendas, and in no way did I ever intend to shame or defame the real life Republican and Democratic parties of America. See them as purely fictitious - that's what they are, after all.

Set in an alternate future where the government rules over all and those who don't follow the status quo are sent to a prison called the Camp to work hard labor, rumors of rebellion are quickly taking root. These rebels have tried to overthrow the Citadels before, however, and they are not the heroes the Citadel citizens wish them to be. Nor has lived in a Citadel orphanage for thirteen years after she was separated from her family during the last rebellion against the government. Though the rebels may have failed all those years ago, they have suddenly returned with increasing numbers and support. Nor doesn't believe that the rebel's agenda is to liberate the people, but something far more sinister. Her suspicions are soon confirmed, and she is forced to flee for her life. On the run from the quickly approaching rebel army, Nor begins to search for the family that she lost long ago. Her journey will lead her into unexpected dangers, and even to an unexpected love. Not everything is as it seems, and soon the strange events that are slowly untangling within Nor's world will make her question her very reality.
