Generations after generations of Elemental Masters have risen. Ninjago has been in peril again and again, but there has always been someone to stop the danger. Some of the famous warriors even opened a school a while back to assist in training the future generations of Elemental Masters. But when Zoë Takenaka, a teenager who attends the school despite her obvious lack of an element, finds books among the ruins of an ancient monastery and discovers a forgotten history, everything changes.

But Kai doesn't think of her the same way as everyone else does; he knows that there's more to the supposed cold-blooded killer she is- especially when he makes a surprising connection to something dear to him. But when other forces above the assassin makes their move, everything just get ten times more complicated for the ninja and Kai. Most stories have happy endings with love and peace.
