Lissy could not recall a time when she was not cold, or hungry, or alone. She was found on the cold streets of Darlosts, a kingdom stricken with poverty and sorrow, by a woman who seemed to want the best for Lissy but soon proved to have a selfish motive. 
Lissy is betrayed but then finds herself on an adventure that is life. Traveling to a neighboring kingdom. She will learn to trust and maybe even to love.
