Casey was having a hard time living in the new apocalyptic world, but how would you survive if you were mute? You couldn't scream for help or communicate with anyone. That's what Casey has to go through. 

She isn't able to talk or even make a noise. All she can do is hear, see and move. No matter who she comes across they are never able to help her physically and emotionally. This is all true until she meets a group of survivors who she'd never think that would understand her condition. 

One man steps up to help Casey in her troubled state, Daryl Dixon. She doesn't want anyone to get frustrated with what she had to offer so she tries to push them away. Nothing helps and she ends up accepting their offer anyway. 

Will Casey learn to communicate with people while the dead roam around them looking to eat them alive? What if she's holding a secret from them that will only cause her life to be in greater danger than it already is?All Rights Reserved

All she finds herself doing is training, waiting, and hoping that something happens. So, when Rick Grimes and his group enter the CDC wanting help, it seems like her prayers were answered. Leaving the building and stepping into a walker-infested world after losing what's left of her family isn't the easiest thing to do, but she has a new group of people ready to help her. But still, something for the pain would always help, and the boy with the pretty eyes seems like a good enough distraction. Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. You only start to get chapters once the entire story is written. And it finally is. I hope everyone enjoys Angel.
