All Maddy wants is for her life to go back to normal, but she soon realizes that's not going to be possible. With the events of the party that ended in tragedy hanging over her head. Half of the town labeling her as a murderer, and her parents increasing control over her after an overdose she promises she didn't take. Maddy's life is anything but normal.
Her only lifeline is the new guy in town. Axel, who gives her the one thing that she needs more than anything. Someone to believe her.
With his help, Maddy wades through the fog of her depression, the awful side-effects of her medication and the bullying she faces to get to the bottom of what happened the night of the party and get back to normal.
