Only one summer stands between Sophie Elliot and becoming editor-in-chief of Northwestern's literary magazine. But when she's given the task of writing a personal story as her initiation, Sophie's only option is to accept her mother's wedding invitation and revisit her hometown of Astoria, North Carolina, the place she had been avoiding ever since her best friend died in their senior year of high school.
