Lena Holland had completely fallen for Remus Lupin, someone she had a feeling she would never actually be able to have. He was too smart to be with someone like her, too perfect for her to ever really grasp what was going on with him. Sirius Black, even if he was a complete playboy, had found himself fawning over Lena's best friend, who seemed to have sworn off anyone even sort of similar to himself. When Sirius somehow finds out about what Lena was feeling, he admits to her something similar. The two devise a plan to get the person that they were dreaming about to notice them and came to the complete decision - to fake date until their friends got jealous.
