17 year old, Lana Rose Paxton, has just gotten her driver's license. She takes advantage of her privilege to drive, and takes her friends to a party. Driving drunk, especially with other people in the car, was not her brightest idea. She ends up in the St. Moose hospital in a deep coma. The only part of her that has woken up, is her soul.
Children have stopped playing, and the religious have stopped praying. Fingers aren't allowed to move, and leaves cannot stray from their tree. Time is gone.
It's up to Lana to find out what's happened and how to save herself as well as the whole world. Throughout her journey, she discovers how much more she appreciates life and how much she has taken it for granted.
