Hello, I want to first thank you for taking the time to read my proposal, as I know that there are many others you must work through who have done the same as I; please, trust me when I say that your attention is greatly appreciated. I am messaging you today because I wish to submit a selection of excerpts taken from the series of science fiction/science fantasy stories I have written; called Psychic the Saga. I'm a former United States Marine, and a currently enrolled Aerospace Engineering undergrad at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Over the course of the last eight years, during which the earlier stated experiences have occurred in my adult life, I have continually written the story I am now presenting for your consideration. Outside of writing as a hobby, and what was needed when submitting assignments, my only writing credential is a published engineering research paper in the European Physical Letters: 'Tailorable Twisting of Biomimetic Scale-Covered Substrate'; of which, my main contributions were that of the experimentation, and the editing/proofreading of the paper. In regards to my submission, the story of Psychic follows our trio and the rest of their friends as they fight for peace and stability within the newly unveiled realm of psychics, once hidden amongst the world for untold millennia. The statistics of Book One are as follows: word count = ~205279, page count = ~396, target audience = young/new adult (16~34 yr. of age). The reasoning behind this age range is two-fold: the concepts, morals and lessons, themes, and situations/ problems faced by the main characters are both relatable and beneficial for this age group; also yes, there is foul language, and yes there are very visceral depictions of violence. Also also (lol), I wish to give a disclaimer in terms of any romance, love, or anything else similar; I intentionally never take the story beyond anything more intimate than a kiss. So there. Hi there, I'm JD, a 31-year-old Venezuelan-Spanish Economist living in Barcelona with my Russian (pro-peace) wife Anna and our two kittens; we met in Italy eight years ago, and almost since then we have been working on this project. During our careers we've worked with people from South America to Japan, from Australia to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, the characters in the novel are based on people I was lucky enough to meet along the way who left me with invaluable lessons which we feel the duty and privilege of sharing with our fellow humans, hopefully sharing what cosmologists call "Space Bias". There are seven main protagonists each one with their own chapter - which can be read in whichever order you prefer, - two of them in present tense and the rest in past, it's all part of the story. They all have mixed backgrounds such as a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother, a survivor of the Rwanda massacre, a Colombian with Lebanese and Portuguese ancestry, a Danish whose mother is German, a Jewish lady married to a Muslim man she met in Jerusalem, an Anglo-Indian guy inspired in a way in Orwell - character name is Arthur such as Orwell's real name, - and last but definitely not least a Turkish Muslim bisexual woman for which a Lebanese friend for work is providing help; my friend is working on her Ph.D. on gender inequality in politics, especially in countries with religious civil wars that have moved from the streets to parliament. The story's Universe - 7 trillion light-years, approximately 78 times the size of our observable universe and 252 times the size of a Hubble sphere - provides more than enough civilizations to present dystopias that can serve as warnings for the future - ideally in the style of 1984, A Brave New World, or Fahrenheit 451, - as well as utopias where we find A.E.I - Artificial Emotional Intelligence - along with futuristic ways of understanding childhood, education, and life itself.

I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? Yea, that is a shitty idea, but once again, no one cares what I think.
