"Did you really believe this was over?" His slow, monotoned chuckle was a mockery to the weak flame of my being. "You made yourself believe that just because you managed to evade our defenses, that this was over- that we'd simply give up?"
I wanted to bite the hand that stroked my cheek with a sweet and gentle air - my eyes doing me the favor of glaring at his own pair of deep teal in reaction to the numbing buzz of electricity that left me defenseless.
"Do you...believe I will?" My soft words drip with many emotions and the male simply smiles, offering some semblance of space as he straightens and stands soon after - leaving me to stay backed against the small corner. "If you think I won't...d-do it again- find a way out again, you're wrong."
"Not even a full twenty-four hours...and you already sound so defeated. You tremble at the meer memory of us- of my touch. You try to save a brave face yet your words hold no defiance, shake with each breath you try to hide."
My eyes found solace in the smooth tiled floor - my frame pushing myself to stand despite his close presence.
"You do not scare me...Kaito." I protest with calmly kept words and the male adjusts his simple gray vest.
"Not yet...perhaps." His smile was collected and I slowly exhale as his eyes travel across my collarbone and up to meet my gaze.
"Chin up, my stupid girl, it is now you must look forward. You had your time. Two years of freedom. You had your chance to get it out of your system- were even given a little extra time out of the goodness of our hearts. But now, that time is up." He steps forward and my ground wanted to crumble as he brushes back my hair - his touch gentle.
"Are you ready to behave? I know the others are just dying to see you again."
