Love and War || A Sanders Sides AU
Roman has bad luck when it comes to love. With his first serious boyfriend rejecting his identity, and the second rejecting him in general, he has the bad habit of sticking around until it's much too late to split up naturally and safely. He thinks the third time is the charm when he meets three boyfriends and falls in love almost immediately. But his bad luck comes to light once again when one of them becomes another person when they're alone. He hides it, terrified of losing the other two people in the relationship. Will he manage to find a way out, or will he just get pulled deeper into a toxic relationship he never wanted? Heyyyy so I KNOW I still haven't finished 'Loved and Lost' which is because I was writing it as I posted - which was stupid of me because I know that always causes problems. but I have this fic ENTIRELY finished, so updates should be fairly regular! I still plan on finishing Loved and Lost, but it may be a while. This is the first of two books, the second of which I'm still working on. However, this story deals with abusive/toxic relationships, rape/coerced consent, self-harm, and a lot of stuff like that. Also, Unsympathetic Patton(morality) is a HUGE theme in this as he is the main antagonist. Please stay safe, I don't want anyone reading this to be hurt or triggered by its content! When Virgil lifted his head from his hands, he locked eyes with Princey. He looked shocked and afraid and a million other emotions that swirled together in a jumble of curiosity and confusion. Virgil calmed the panic in his brain quickly enough to stand. "I-I'm just going to-to go..." he whispered, suddenly more interested in his feet than Roman's face. He made his way to the door a few feet away, ignoring the sound of movement behind him. "Virgil, wait!" Roman grabbed onto his wrists, stopping him. Instantly, the anxiety bubbled up inside of him and Virgil's hand began to shake. "Please let me go..." He mumbled, the sound barely audible, even in the uncomfortable silence that hung in the room like smog. "Virge-" "Please..." A single tear dropped from one of his eyes as he squeezed them both shut as tight as he could. Slowly, Roman's grip loosened and Virgil reached for the doorknob, slipping out of the room and into the safety of his own. ATTENTION: This book is undergoing editing.
