To Be A Mormon
is kind of like an autobiography of my life, mainly based around becoming a Mormon ( in a way). Being a Mormon can be difficult, and there are so many trials and challenges that come along with Mormonism. I was inspired to write this after reading Sarah A. 's book, Confessions of A Mormon Bride: Essays on Love and Mormonism.
Even if you are not LDS, I sincerely hope that this little autobiography of mine can help you gain insight about Mormons, and if you are LDS and you are having trials with it, I sincerely hope that this book will help you too.

I struggled with writing this and, as you will soon understand, though I knew how to write it, writing it and thinking about it was difficult. It's Okay to Use Your Big Girl Voice
Inside you will find a mixture of both, extremely RAW and refreshingly HEALING accounts of my personal war with my past. Unfortunately, Childhood sexual abuse is far too common, and many of share similar experiences. Looking back, what I could have used more than anything was someone to tell me "You're not alone, there is a lightness through the darkness, you can heal from this and most importantly don't EVER stop telling your story to make others comfortable". I've learned that silence is the best weapon for a predator, and I for one, have never been really good at doing what I'm told. I don't intend on starting now. I wear my scar as reminder that I hold the power in my own story, it is mine to tell and I won't make myself sick keeping quiet because my truths are hard to swallow, other people's comfort is not my problem. My Goal is rather simple, to let the readers know, they too are not alone. If you are a survivor, even if you still feel like a victim, this is my personal message to you. "You are strong, and it wasn't your fault. Tell someone... tell anyone...tell everyone... We shift from victims to survivors when we speak up and tell our stories. There's nothing wrong with you, and the light will shine again. I said glaring at him who was surely unfazed at my words as a smirk formed on his face at my words. "My My someone's jealous. Aren't you Ms. Dua?" He said clearly enjoying my anger and I wanted nothing but smack his head right at the moment. "I'm not jealous. And get the hell away from me" I replied sternly. He moved towards me and caging me in his arms not giving me a moment to move back. "Last time I checked you're my wife and also a doctor that make you my personal doctor. And about getting away from you I'm never going to do that." He replied. His voice so deadly scaring me to life but I wasn't the one to back out. "I'm not your wife" I said clenching my teeth at him. "You sure tend to forget things easily. But don't you worry Mrs. Dua Hashir Wali khan. I'm here to remind you everything. Just like you left me there hanging and crying for you. I'll do the same to you but It'll be more painful I promise." He said suddenly while I stood frozen to ground. What mess I've been involved myself into. At first, as a blog post, but that didn't appeal to me as much, for my heart has always leaned toward writing books. Then I tried sharing parts of it as short stories, but that didn't sit well with me either. Subconsciously, I've been working on this for years.
