Lucy is also not allowed to leave the palace. She wants to leave so badly but even if she tried the guards would stop her. Lucy's best friend from the palace is yukino. 

One day A pirate guild called 'Fairy Tail' attack the magnolia castle The guards couldn't beat them. So then Lucy and yukino are sent to run away. 

The girls pack each three bags. They run away. While they are running away they get split. This will cause each of their lives to take a turn.
