The Sugar Monkey

Suitable for children under 10. The narrator is Skye who lives in a sugar cane desert. When she goes to town, she gets out of the desert and sees all types of animals. Her biggest concern though is for the vervet monkeys who eat the sugar cane as she has been told that sugar cane is bad, if not addictive. So Skye finds out about sugar, vervet monkeys and choices people have in life.
