Brick Emerson doesn't know how it happened.

For the seventh night in a row, he's awake at 3:00 am.
Why can't he fall asleep?
Why did he have to start scrolling?
Why does she still make him feel this way?
Maybe listening to some music will help him sleep.
Instead, it gets him thinking...

At 3am, Brick is posting a 90s R&B ballad cover remixed with his own spoken-word lyrics to his friend's Instagram.
At 3:17am, a grammy-winning hip-hop artist has reposted it on Twitter to the tune of over 5k retweets and growing.

Now, with the help of his friend turned self-proclaimed "manager "-slash- amateur music producer, Brick makes the best of his insomnia at 3am everyday, thoughts and words spilling out into the mic, to deride the monotony of his hourly job but even more significantly, help him process the lingering emotions of being dumped by his first girlfriend. Soon, even with his heartrending singles going viral and attracting some of the biggest players in the music industry, Brick can't help but wonder what success would feel like if he were actually happy. It's only until a passing encounter with a gorgeous stranger, does Brick finds himself heading towards the one thing he promised himself to never let happen again.

Will Brick pursue perfecting the musical craft of his sleepless nights or will he give up his lucrative lovelorn persona to find the girl of his dreams?
