Eira looked back and saw her friend standing in the middle of the hallway. The fire reflected its orange light onto her body. Shadows were cast onto Pipit's face, making it appear as though it was constantly moving and changing, like a distorted mask. Her red hair hung on her shoulders, a testament to her element, as she stood unapologetically.
She was strong and firm, but if Eira looked closer, she could see the frenzy, soundless screams and bodies ablaze. Pipit's face was peaceful, but her mind was chaos. By her sides, twitched her fingers, almost like moving lips, as though they spoke soundless lies into her ear.
Eira saw this and she mourned her friend.
"Go!" Pipit roared.
With teary eyes, Eira turned and ran.
Finally, Pipit's hands spoke, revenge.

She bent the space at first, not so much drawing runes in the air as she was pulling them into sight. She could see them at all times, it was part of her magesight, most of what she needed when bending space was picking the right type of space to bend, some runes would never bind to regular matter, which was why it was so difficult to make a permanently distorted area since those runes were everywhere, tiny and hidden by Gium when he made the world. Aqua asked in a raspy voice. Terra paused and thought for a minute. Where was Aura? "I don't know. She actually led me here, but I don't know where she went." That feeling of happiness when I was with her. Or even just the thought of her. Fuck. I grabbed a cigarette from out of one the cup holders and lit it up, trying to distract myself from her. I inhaled, but when I turned to look at Selene she was covering her nose with her shirt. I furrowed my brows and scowled. Did I smell? "What's wrong?" I softly asked. She glanced at me and shook her head gently, dismissing me. I clenched my jaw. When I pulled my hand up to inhale another smoke, it finally clicked. I quickly threw it out the window and turned the AC on, rolling our windows up. I felt her stare on the side of my face and gulped, trying my fucking best not to smile. "Why did you do that?" She asked me, her voice low. Almost sounding like she was whispering. I quickly shot her a glance before answering. "You have asthma." Her gaze darkened. It was so quiet I could hear her heart beating rapidly while we stared at each other. I couldn't help but want to reach up and kiss her, and hold her like she deserved. She swallowed her saliva and looked away, a smile starting to form on the corners of her lips. I chuckled, already knowing I couldn't escape her now. I wouldn't be able to. It'd be like not having oxygen. And so help me, God, if I didn't have my oxygen.
