Raven Blake an average teen age girl meets her worst nightmare into reality one rainy night. Her parents got killed with an unknown force of black masked men. The last word she only hears from her mom was "run" and the words "keep the stigma" giving a transparent small glass tube with a blue shimmering liquid inside. Confused poor little Raven run into the woods and caught by the masked men. When she was about to give up, she felt the heat covered her nape, cupping her nape with pain and terror she felt a tattoo was being carved on it. A lightning thud landed inches away from where she is and appear an amazingly handsome man who named himself as Zaid and claims that he is Raven's protector until they finish the mission together.

He leaned against his chair lazily, tattoos peeking from under his sleeve, but his eyes those sharp, storm colored eyes softened the moment they met hers. She quickly looked away, cheeks burning. At lunch, she found her seat empty. Her supposed best friend didn't sit beside her anymore. Her ex avoided her completely, as if she was the one at fault. She tried to eat, but her throat closed up. Then a tray slammed down across from her. "You're not eating," Raven muttered, sitting down uninvited. Her eyes widened. "Why are you-" "Because you look like hell," he cut in. "And because I told myself if I ever see you cry over someone who isn't me, I'll make them regret it." Her stomach knotted. Was he joking? Threatening? Or... protecting?
