What all can happen in just one night...

Perun Hammerfist is a flashy gangster with a reputation for elegance -- and brutality - to uphold.

While murdering off a debtor, he accidentally drowns in the river that flows through Prague, beginning a nightmarish journey that not only forces him to confront his long repressed past and thrusts him back into the arms of his dead love, but also reveals the too-close-for-comfort connection to his personal nemesis: Veleček, the elderly gangster who runs the old part of town.

Set in an alternate 1937, The Vyšehrad Drowned incorporates various figures from Slavic mythology in an atmospheric noir Dieselpunk setting. (Dieselpunk = retro sci-fi set between 1910 and 1950)

40 parts Complete

Nothing goes better with tea and crumpets than corpses and monsters. ************ When seventeen-year-old Trinket escapes from Elysium Asylum, her plans for suicide are derailed by a mutant wolf and Booker Larkin, the eccentric young doctor who saves her from the monster's metal jaws. Trinket quickly learns that Booker's medical practices are far from usual. He's taken his surgical skills to new heights by replacing human limbs with mechanical creations of his own. However, with a monstrous wolf terrorizing the sleazy city of Tinkerfall, he sets aside his gears and saws and presents Trinket with a surprising proposition: become his assistant and join him in his hunt for the beast. With his brilliant mind and her sharp eyes, nothing can stop this quick-witted duo. Except, perhaps, for the sins of Trinket's dark past. It's JANE EYRE meets FRANKENSTEIN in this YA mystery series with a steampunk flair. Book 1 of THE ELYSIUM SERIES. Warning: this story involves mental illness and has scenes depicting anxiety attacks and PTSD, as well as suicidal thoughts. ---- *2nd place Hannibal's Dinner Party (Complete) 2019 JeDi Awards *1st place June 2019 Storybook Awards *3rd place Mystery/Thriller 2019 Black Cat Awards *One of the 2019 Standouts Contest's Final Five
