"Liar, liar..." Regina and Drey are partners in crime, working for a rich woman, Halissa Remings, who picked them off the streets and taught them the art of trickery, theft, and lying. Regina is the assassin, easily angered and pyromaniacal. Drey is the thief, cool in the face of danger and silver-tongued. Paid to kill and steal by Halissa, they managed to scrape up enough money to make a decent living. But after they get their newest mission, rob and burn an orphanage, Drey questions the morality in murdering children. Regina and Drey realize Halissa is a psychopathic sadist, and desperately try to back out of their jobs. But the question stands- if they quit, will Halissa hunt them down? (NOTE: These characters are my own personal species. Do not steal them.)

Dawn can not wait for her date to be over. It's really not going well in her opinion and even worse when Craig takes her to an underground fighting ring. One where you can place bets on people that are in a type of cage match. This is not Dawn's cup of tea and she really wished she'd have called it earlier than saying yes to him and his friends. When Dawn steps away from the fighting for a moment to give aide to one of the fighters, she doesn't realize that her choice might have just saved her life. Or at the very least give her an edge to survive. Shortly after leaving the fights Dawn and her group are attacked, drugged and kidnapped. They are going to be unwilling participants in a game for the rich to place bets on their lives. Dawn soon learns that the fighter she stopped to help is also here. However he is not one of the unwitting victims. He is their control factor, their executioner if they do not follow and play this deadly high stakes game. What's more he isn't even really human, but her actions of the aide given, have drawn Lucian's attention. After all he's been told he can choose the one that survives. It's easy to pick when someone is kind for once instead of cruel. Then again how kind can someone stay when the cost of being forgiving will end your life? How do you trust that giving someone what they want won't just have them toss you aside to die when all is said and done?
