Haunted by a nonconsensual, viral porno, recorded during his first sexual experience in the boys' toilets, Zac drops out of college and gets a summer job at a holiday camp. Assigned to work in the camp's ice cream kiosk, Zac figures it's going to be the lamest summer ever, but at least he can finally escape his peers jokes and jeers about that 'video'.

But Zac isn't the only one condemned to the sweltering shack. On his first day, Zac meets his co-worker and town bad boy Jake. Jake doesn't deserve the rep. He gives away the odd ice cream and deals a bit of weed, but apart from that Jake is cool, funny, goofy, and ridiculously good looking. The best thing is that Jake doesn't recognise Zac from the infamous video. Maybe summer isn't going to be such a drag.

Zac daydreams about touching Jake's abs and kissing his salt chapped lips, and Jake seems to be into Zac too. But Zac realises he's being queer baited when Jake's girlfriend, Tasmin, appears on the scene. Zac is consumed by jealousy. Tasmin is beautiful but toxic, and Jake becomes a lovesick puppy dog around her.

The morning after a drink-fuelled beach party, Zac wakes up hungover, his arms covered in scratches and blood splattering his shirt. The discovery of Tasmin's dead body on the beach triggers Zac's paranoia. He can't remember a thing about the previous night. Zac sometimes has violent fantasies, but that doesn't mean he killed Tasmin. Right?

Zac turns sleuth, vowing to find out who murdered Jake's girlfriend and clear his own name. The deeper Zac digs and the more weed he smokes, the blurrier the boundary between reality and fantasy becomes. Zac can't be sure who is guilty and who isn't, and time is running out.

Zac is a lick away from solving the mystery, but when the heat is on, the ice cream melts, and if Zac isn't careful, the truth could kill him.
