Michael Clifford. The weirdo of the school. The crazy one, with apparently no fear, not giving a f*ck about what other people think about him. Sometimes he disappears for a few days and when he comes back he always seems even weirder than before, doing the craziest things. The only one keeping him slightly at bay is his girlfriend.
But of course, things can't stay perfect forever, and Michael and his girlfriend break up.
The news of the break up spreads easily trough the little school community, sometimes causing fear, while it only arouses interest in other people. It's the subject of every rumour: what will happen with the outsider when no one is keeping him on track anymore? Will things become even weirder around him, or will he finally grow up, getting mature?

Apart from Michael, we have Calum and Luke, two young boys who go to the same school as Michael. Where Calum thinks the guy has some childhood trauma, or any other problem with which he should help him, while Michael himself is convinced that he doesn't need help at al, Luke just hates the guy guts. The only one on his team is his ex-girlfriend Clara, who tries to convince everyone else that they should just let him be. But two against the whole world, isn't that bound to go wrong?
Especially when there's a new girl coming around, changing the situation in every single way possible, without people even knowing her name....
And what about Ashton Irwin? The drummer from another school, having felt like outcast for his whole life. Because who would understand a reject better than another reject? Or would things only get messed up even more when he shows up in the picture?
