When the idea of an angel crosses the mind of a human, their first thought was always of Heaven. That the glorious eternity which met those who were worthy after they died was in a land of clouds and harps.

They couldn't be more wrong.

When Clare falls, she is under the impression that she is supposed to be humbling herself, and learning what it is to be human while simultaneously becoming the best version of an angel she can be.
What she did not expect was to fall in the middle of a time of war, as demons worked to dismantle humankind and angels fought to protect them.

And even worse, to find her heart being tugged at in a way she hadn't felt since before her evolution.
A memory she shouldn't even have as it was supposed to be shielded from her.

Can she save her heart before it gets ripped in two? Or will she have to choose something darker?
