Carmen is a regular at the café Harvey works at and has obviously caught his attention. She's confident and sassy, everything he's not. While he feels like a nobody, Karmen notices him more than he realises. Starting with the fact that she will only drink coffee that he makes. Why? He doesn't know. Harvey struggles to understand her. Yet along the way it turns out she's not the same confident girl he thought she was. A complicated and confusing puzzle confined in a chest that he has no key for. But on a journey to discovery, he finds himself getting hurt and he can't understand why he still tries. Is it the thrill of chase he's addicted to or is it simply her?

Note to self: How can it be possible to know exactly what you're doing, and have no idea at the same time? Never having a boyfriend has never been a concern for Carmen Spencer. She's perfectly happy with fictional ones... until she meets Aiden Reed: a charming, forward boy brimming with conversation starters, brilliant poetry and witty remarks. When the night they meet is over, Carmen knows the chances of seeing him again are ridiculously slim (particularly because she lost him before she could get his phone number), but he might turn out to be closer than she ever thought possible. Although, Aiden's seemingly simple intentions may turn out to be less than honourable, and Carmen may change for the worst because of them. © 2016. All Rights Reserved This is a work of fiction.
