His voice was dangerous, daring me to laugh, and something about the rumbling in his throat compelled me to abide by his every demand. His words rolled through the air between us, and he moved so that his lips were next to my ear. I shuddered when his breath tickled my hairline.
"Do you have a less funny explanation for how you can create fire?" he breathed.
My shoulders, which once shook with laughter, now quivered with anticipation.
"W-Well," I stuttered. "I guess not."
