The sun warmed Y/n's face as she leaned back with a sigh, letting the freshness of spring consume her. She would let it take her whole if she didn't need to be back at Aunt Diana's so soon.

Something brushed across her face, causing the girl to crack an eye open.

It was Gilbert. He held a blue flower to her face, unknowing to Y/n, trying to catch her attention.

"Anything you need, Blythe?" She questioned, admiring the way his hair ruffled in the slight breeze.

"I'm only admiring you." He grinned, pulling the flower from her face, only to replace it with a hand.

"Then it's only right that I can admire you."

-----------------------

Y/n was sent to live with her aunt and uncle in Avonlea, a far away land that held so much opportunity for her. What happens when she goes to the new land excepting nothing and receiving all she could ask for?
