This is the story of Lilac Avery Smith, she was an infant found in the aftermath of battle. She was found by the Last Child of Gallifrey, he takes her into his lovely time and space machine, watching her as she grows. He shows her the universe and they pick friends up along the way. She reminds the traveller as to why he ran away to see the universe in the first place. Her awe and wonder at the vast, fantastic cosmos makes the old wonderer very happy. Lilac is the Doctor's adopted daughter.
