Magnus Bane is the schizophrenic son of the billionaire Asmodeous. His lavish life in Tokyo, that consisted of getting drunk and drag racing his nights, was uprooted when his father got a new acting job in New York, USA. Magnus was not happy at all, and begged not to leave but his father didn't care. To make matters worse, in an America they were about to go back to school, when he had just got out a week ago.
Alec Lightwood is the oldest child of four in a middle class family. His mother was a single parent and worked two jobs. While all of his classmates were partying and having fun, he was working a job so he could help his mother with the bills and keep his siblings living the life they were used to. Alec kept himself from his dream career, a photographer is what he wanted to be. He wanted to travel everywhere and take photos of everything. But all he had was a crappy camera and a small folder of the pictures he had developed. Without any excitement in his life and no one to model from him, and his dream camera out of his reach. His dream career wasn't anything close to probable.
But when Magnus and Alec's lives collide, it's like it was meant to be. Throughout their relationship, secrets come undone and Alec learns to let go. And together, they take the perfect photo.
