Missing
Jenna, a young filmmaker, arrives at an abandoned warehouse to scout a location for her project, feeling a growing sense of unease. After a quick call with her co-worker, she begins to explore the eerie, empty space. As Jenna ventures deeper, her discomfort only increases, but she presses on, determined to capture the perfect shot. Just as she's setting up her equipment, the floor beneath her shifts and gives way, drawing her into a strange, shadowy place. She finds herself in an endless maze of yellow walls and flickering lights, with no clear way out. Back in the warehouse, her phone rings unanswered, her co-worker's name flashing in the empty room. The reader is be 15, turning 16 soon. (Girl Readers for the most part.) She lives with her abusive mother, who is addicted to alcohol and heroin (dark, I know.) Often coming home in paranoia, the reader is afraid of what is to come when she gets home from school. One chilly Fall afternoon, (Y/N) comes home to see a large basket on the kitchen table. Seeing that her mother isn't home, (Y/N) goes to the basket, seeing 3 babies inside, each having tiny clothes on, with.... Wings behind their backs?! Terrified, (Y/N) is conflicted on what to do next. (Picks up in chapter 1.) Occasionally I will do a one shot or something that pulls away from the story line.
