"I trusted you!" I screamed shoving my pointer finger into her shoulder.
"Then I guess this is your fault too." She answered smoothly pushing my hand away as if it didn't even bother her. "We both made the wrong decision." She said stepping back and shaking her head.
"You can't run away from this!" I scream after her.
She kept walking with her head bowed.
She looks back over her shoulder at me. For a split second her eyes flicker, but then she turns and walks out into the street.

Gratian Boarding School is a glorified juvie. The kids here, we did nothing wrong. But we're still trapped. When both of our parents got drafted into the war, we had nowhere else to go. So a government-issued bus drove around the country picking kids up. Then every week. More arrive. It's the most depressing place that exists.

But when a girl in a paint-covered blouse and leather pants shows up the school does a backflip.
Because she's is happy.

No one has seen happy in a long time.
